Specific Courses

To complement our range of courses, we offer you the possibility of choosing within the format of our courses, the specialities of Spanish for business or Spanish for tourism, not only with classes adapted to each level, but also with visits to companies in the tourism sector or contact with business people and entrepreneurs, which will help to motivate our students. Cuenca is a city with a lot of national and service tourism, which is a great advantage when it comes to immersion in everyday life and the world of work. You will be able to practice what you have learnt on a day-to-day basis during your stay.

Contents

Our course is designed for both students and professionals from levels A1 on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) who want to train in the thematic areas of business and commerce.
We cover important aspects of current correspondence and the service sector in Spain and Latin America. In this course the development of linguistic strategies necessary to function in the business world will be worked on. The contents are organized through the subject areas of the business and the level of the student:
Greetings and introductions, an interview / Resume, the office, correspondence, how a business works (based on real business examples).

Spanish for Tourism

Contents

Our course is designed for both students and professionals from levels A1 on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). We prioritize communication, working on interculturality in practical situations in the world of tourism. This includes  the learning and  use of tourism lexicon for basic levels and an expansion and consolidation at higher levels. Written expression is also worked on in this specific course, as it is required in this area. The contents are organized through tourism topic areas such as  the hotel, travel agencies, tourist fairs or tourist offices.

  • Bilingual secretarial, training and technical school.

  • High school and university students.

  • Employees, self-employed, professionals in the business or tourism sector.

  • Students from popular universities.

  • Students interested in improving and deepening their knowledge of specific Spanish.

Prices

The specific courses are adapted to the following course formats. All you have to do is to indicate on the enrollment form the specialization you want and add the supplement per student if you have one.

  • Course for groups: € 50/ student and week including workbook.

  • Courses with internships: This already includes specific topics from the world of work. There is no supplement.

  • Online Spanish: It doesn’t include a supplement.

  • Private lessons: There is no extra charge. It is enough to indicate the number of hours you would like to receive. Minimum 10 hours to be able to include the activities.

Levels

According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Level required for this course: minimum A2

  • Basic Level (A2)

  • Intermediate Level (B1-B2)

  • Advanced Level (C1-C2)

Teaching faculty with degrees and experience.

Our Spanish lessons support students throughout the learning process. Our main goal is to ensure that all students take full advantage of their time in Cuenca to improve their Spanish skills.

Activities

  • ​Guided visit to a company of your choice in Cuenca (in the chosen sector).

  • Meeting with entrepreneurs from the hospitality or business sector.
